Walk 2
This walk offers three different options, all circular walks.
The shortest and easiest walk leads you to a beautiful Old Water Mill alongside the river and back to Plakias.
The "medium" walk takes you on a path behind the mill up to just below the village of Myrthios, along the irrigation channels and back down to Plakias.
The longer and adventurous walk takes you into the river passed the Old Water Mill and keeps going up over rocks and through the water. At the top you will leave the river and walk down to Myrthios where you will find several tavernas and a mini-market. The views over Plakias Bay are breath taking from Myrthios. From there it goes back down to Plakias.
Take into account that when you choose the adventurous option your clothes and shoes will get wet and dirty! It is an epic walk though, with magical waterfalls and fairy tale like natural swimming pools on the way. Due to the foliage the walk up offers a lot of shade and if that's not enough the water will cool you down in hot weather.
If you're still good to go walks 3 and 13 connect to the longer walk!
