Plakias Walk 13
This walk leads you via Myrthios, Mariou and the northern slopes of Mount Kouroupa to Asomatos. With a folklore museum in Myrthios, a picturesque church built against the rocks in Mariou, spectacular, panoramic views over Plakias Bay and surrounding from the slopes of Mount Kouroupa and the unique Papa Michalis Georgoulakis Oriseum. A bit of everything. There is a mini-market and a taverna in Asomatos to refuel.
You can call a taxi or take the bus from Asomatos back to Plakias or keep going with walk 14.
Click on the KTEL logo for the latest up to date bus timetables (choose departure from Rethymno) and check Plakias-Rethymno.
You will find the directions for this walk below the map (printable for personal use only) and a few photos. On the map you can click on the landmarks for information and more photos.

Enjoy the beauty of Plakias and surroundings. Don't forget to leave only your footprints!
