"The Dragon" is probably the most photographed landmark in the surroundings of Plakias, because this dragon-like rock formation is the place where the sun sets. "The Dragon" is only 3.5km west of Plakias.
The views from "The Dragon" towards Plakias are also spectacular and it is a very nice walk from Plakias, passing the new harbour and Souda Beach (see walk 4).
