You will see this mountain from Plakias when you look north to north west, separating the gorges of Kotsifou and Kourtaliotis. The villages of Myrthios, Mariou and Asomatos lie on its southern slopes and the villages of Atsipades and Kanevos on the northern side. On the highest point, at 1001 meter, there is a little church besides the radio mast you can see from far away. Naturally the views while hiking up and from the top are spectacular in all directions, on a clear day you can see the north coast from there.
Walk 11 will lead you to the top of Mount Kouroupa.
