There is no need to bring books on your holiday because Plakias has Europe's most southern lending library. A short walk from the centre Plakias' lending library has books and DVD's in a wide variety and in many languages. The library is run by lovely volunteers and for a very small fee you can lend as many books as you need. You can even have a drink while looking.
Don't want to carry the books you brought back home? The library will happily take them.
