Fotinari Beach is a charming, small beach on the way from Plakias to Souda Beach (2.6km west of Plakias). In the first right bend after you have gone over the hill passed the "new" harbour there are two sets of steps down. The first steps go down to Fotinaraki or little Fotinari, a very small beach with many big rocks. The second steps go down to Fotinari. The beach has coarse sand and small pebbles. The size is about 35x10 meters and there are no umbrellas or sunbeds for hire. Both beaches are good places for some snorkelling. The nearest taverna is at Souda Beach and there is no real parking, so it is better to just walk over there from Plakias.
Walks 4 and 5 pass these beaches.
Last but not least, leave only your footprints!
